i need an opinion on this

I am having a huge problem staying awake during the day. I sleep about 10 hours a night and when I wake up I feel relatively awake. However, after I eat breakfast or shower, I just want to go back to sleep. This is very inconvenient, as I am a university student and I can barely keep myself awake during lectures, or I am awake but after the lecture is over I am completely dysfunctional. My speech is slurred, my eyes close, and I feel like I move in slow-motion; I have no energy to do anything. I am wondering what this could be caused by. It has appeared very suddenly, about a month ago. Prior to this, I had severe insomnia for a few weeks due to a high level of stress. Could this be my body trying to "catch up" on lost sleep? Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
