Genie,

My father is 82 and has taken prescription amphetamines(dexadrine/desoxyn)for Narcolepsy since he was in his early 20's. He's had a very successful career as a cardiologist. He still does some part time consulting!

My brother is 50 and he has also been taking dexadrine for Narcolepsy since he was 19 and he is doing fine.

You have every chance of experiencing a long, healthy and active life.
