Since I am new here, I started reading from the top downwards. I did see further information on possible liver toxicity v. Provigil, but would still like to learn more of anyone's possible symptoms: How do I know if my Liver is being adversely affected?

I made several response postings going down the list. Although probably outdated, perhaps those of you with the sumitted post will be interested to see my replies / it will help other future newcomers.

Here's a tiny introduction, as it's been a long morning already. Although I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Fibromyalgia, I am not diagnosed with Narcolepsy. Many of the N symptoms greatly mimic my fatigue & sleep problems, and it's quite possible I do have N, in addition to these health conditions (trying to get away from using "disorders" or "illnesses"). Consequently, I have many additional issues going on, but I believe sleep is the root of many of them. So, I am trying to learn, understand and take care of myself as best I can. With so much information out there, it isn't possible for one doctor to know all there is, so again, it helps if we can do a little investigating ourselves.

Although I've been here before (I had this site bookmarked), this is the first day I've posted. Today, I was mainly concerned with Provigil, because I'm considering discontinuing it's use. I'm having a few new problems, and neither CFS, FM, or N quite explain it. So, I'm beginning to suspect it's from long-term use of Provigil...or still maybe something else.

I appreciate this forum and all the useful information & kind people on it. :)

:) Smilie
