ritalin for me is a pill that causes long ugly anxiety attacks . I went all the way to canada once to get anafranil before it was put on the market in usa hopping it would be great for cataplexy and ended up having anafranil induce cataplexy for hours. On an individual basis there is pretty much no way to know ahead of time how we will respond to a particular medicine but the research people are claiming when the human genome project is finished they will have a vastly improved ability to know ahead of time what meds to use.
