This is obviously not the opinion of a medical authority, but I definitely think so. To be honest, even though I am 24, I function perfectly well on 5 hours of sleep. This is not to say that I do not feel the effects of narcolepsy, but that I can function just as well on 5 as 8 hours of sleep. Also, in comparison to me peers, I function much better on little sleep than they do. I may be an anomoly, at not to be regarded as the norm, but I function quite well on very little sleep. Extra hours don't help. Hope this does though.
