I take Provigil now, but I used to take Ritalin -- I would take one and a half of a 5mg pill. -- and I would take that 2 or 3 times a day (depending on what I had to do). I found that each dose usually only lasted about 4 -5 good hours. The doc said 4-6 "awake hours" were what I should expect. -- so, that's my experience. It worked pretty well -- although, I usually tried to take the next dose before I felt the effects of the first dose wear out too bad -- even so, I usually needed a short nap in between the 2 ritalin dosages. There is no substitute for a nap!
