My sleep MD called me on Christmas Eve, after I had been trying to get a refill for my Ritalin, and found out he would be out of the office for 2 weeks! I was about in tears. I even called a week before I was out, just to be sure I'd get it filled in time. Imagine my surprise, when on Dec 20th, I was told he wouldn't be available until 12/31!!! Arghhh!!! So, I left a message, and plotted how I'd try to get thru the holidays with a whopping 6 pills left...Hmm, I'll really need it on Christmas Eve and Christams Day, then go without until New Year's Eve and New Year's Day...you know how it goes. Then my husband calls at work, gives me a private office number, as my sleep MD called me and wanting to get me a script before the holiday, and he came in special to do it!!!!! Yes, Virginia, there really is a Santa CLaus, and he even doubled my Ritalin SR!!! So, I was surprised and very grateful, and enjoyed my holidays with my 3 small kids on my feet instead of bonding with the couch! Glad to hear that Ritalin is working so well for others, too. Happy Holidays!
