Well, I love my Ritalin and so does my husband! My mood is much better than with the Provigil, and I'm awake enough for romance on occasion! I think everyone's different. Maybe the mood swings are due to sleepiness? A need to nap? The fact that you are awake longer, and more things bug you? Or, maybe you should talk it over with the MD. I think most of these types of meds can have that side effect, but your body may be better suited to a different med. Or, maybe it takes a conscious effort to stay in the middle zone of the mood swing- I know it's easier said than done, but the Provigil did that to me, and I really had to check the moodiness where my kids and my sick folks at work were concerned. Now, they think I'm funny and more lively, so whatever this Ritalin does, I'm keeping it!!! Good luck.
