Very common - a lot of people with narcolepsy have really scary dreams where they think someone is sitting on them, choking them. They are sometimes referred to as an incubus or succubus. Very bizarre concept. Really freaked me out when I read about this (I don't have this type of HH) They aren't really dreams, it's really the border between sleep and wakefulness and is called a hypnogogic hallucination. The vivid dreams are very common. Some people report vivid dreams where they are flying or floating or they can wake up during the dream, go back to sleep later and finish it. It's a very bizarre illness! What does your doctor plan to do? Jeanne
