I went to a doctor who was convinced that I had EDS because I was overweight! This was before diagnosis. I tried to explain that it was more than having no energy and he said well your problem is more than a few pounds over weight too. Needless to say I never went back and It took a very long time for me to bring it up to my Dr I have now. Another thing that bugs me is I feel like a criminal every time I get my Ritalin prescription filled. Questions like why do you need this? long pause when you tell them you have narcolepsy then the lifted eyebrows and the hmmmmm. Believe me I wouldn't take this stuff if i didnt need it. Thank fully I have supportive co workers and spouse.
