Cataplexy--Teeth chattering?

Safrin,
I can't comment on the teeth chattering. Maybe someone else will. I chatter but that's b/c I'm cold and sometimes maybe a little when I'm nervous. Hadn't ever considered it being C. Ya gotta understand that we're all snowflakes here. Ain't no two of us alike, only share varying degrees of the same symptoms or combos of symptoms. It is true that cataplexy is triggered by emotions: laughter probably being the most common, anger, fear, intimacy, probably the whole spectrum.

Your description of dozing off in public is like I sometimes experience. And, I've been known to have episodes even in less than boring situations. Also have fallen asleep while working on my feet. But I still didn't crumple like you saw on the program. Like The Mom said, that is more like the extreme. Probably does more damage for such info to be aired because then people who think they might suffer from N think, "Well, I don't do that so I must not have it." and don't seek help. And then you've got those silly doctors that think the same thing. Have to fall down like passing out to have N. And, heaven forbid what employers of PWN must think when they see that. So not true!! Keep searching. You'll find the answers. SK
