Have you made your dx known at work? If losing the nurse's license is not a factor, I would and ask for a flexible schedule (ADA accommodation)that allows you to arrive a little later if needed. For many taking meds they may have days when they have to wait for the meds to kick in before being able to drive to work. For others, the sluggishness that they experience in the mornings can lead to tardiness.
I didn't necessarily feel like either was a problem for me, but I just always tried to accomplish more at home than I could and then rushed like crazy to get ready for work. I made use of every second of my mornings since they were my best time of the day. On Provigil I seemed to get even further behind each day. Then add to the morning the accidents, like knocking a glass of OJ off the counter because I misguessed where it was. Or sloshing water all over my clothes when I poured a mug to take to work. Letting a raw egg drop on the kitchen carpet. Forgetting that I hadn't scraped the car of ice. Mornings became so unpredictable that I didn't know how much time it would take me to get thru them and it shouldn't have taken the time it did so I misguessed most days. Don't let them get rid of you for tardiness. That is something that they have to work w/ you on. In my case my supervisor hung out in my office timing me to see when I arrived then complained when I was 2 or 3 minutes late. Meanwhile, secretaries that were also under her management walked in with me and went to their office upstairs. I am certain that no one was standing there to also clock their arrival. That is a part of the discrimination. You can't be signaled out to cite problems w/ your performance if others are being allowed to do the same thing and no one is watching them.
