Jeeze..I was going to come on here to neener neener you guys because I SLEPT FOR 8 STRAIGHT HOURS LAST NIGHT. If I can sleep over 3 or 4 hours in a row I think it is a major deal. With 8 under my belt, I can be the human dynamo for at least part of today! Although with my mate gone, I don't know what I'm going to do. Watch the whole Super bowl? I don't think so. My Gold hunting partner is tied up for the whole weekend, too. What a waste of eight hours of sleep.
Actually, this is one of those rare days when I feel completly awake..My life seems to not be so crashingly hard as Kitty describes above, just somewhere in between completely awake and asleep. I too have fallen asleep on dates, and I really think that just having a date tends to tweak my sleep/awake pattern and contributes to the "experience". It seems sort of like the Murphy's Law about shaving. "The depth and number of the cuts on your face are in direct proportion to the importance of the event for which you are shaving." So any woman that is really interesd in getting to know me will sort of have to come around the side door..Maybe come pester me at the shop a few times, or discover this incredible need to fly fish, or buy a '39 Ford that needs some help..So my social life is weak at best. Pitiful on the 2 hour of sleep nights:)
But I have found that I just have to, I can work nights. I have the N advantage of being able to nap on command. If I have 48 hours to ramp up to it, I can probably do as well at nights as during the day. With one exception. I have to take a nap near sunrise. I'm not even sure this is N. I think it is diurinal, because 10 minutes will do just fine. It's like I need to reset my personal clock to from today til tomorrow, and it doesn't feel like a real sleep attack. More like an overwhelming need to zzzz for a few minutes. Weird, huh?
