The monkey can solve most of your problems. Would be a good companion caring for the "kids" while you are away. And, there could be your answer for a personal driver. Honey, I don't think you are pitiful and I know that reflecting on happier times helps get us thru the rough times. That is healthy as long as one doesn't live only in the past. Sounds like you have some musical talent, my dream but unfortunately not my blessing. I hope that you are able to use that in a constructive way. Music is such a healer in itself. As for old flames...sometimes they lose their spark, you know. As one of mine just was pointing out to me, all the potential suitors have not been sitting around waiting to see who I picked, they have moved on and made other lives for themselves. Now that the favorite prospective mate dumped me, I'm finding that at 35 the pickings are getting mighty slim. I'm not one to settle for less than what it takes to make a good marriage and a happy life. Hope you get a positive response from your friend. You could use the brightener to your week.

By the way, high school sometimes seems like just the other day to me too...but my days were way back in the mid 80's. Makes me sick to think of how time flys and seems to pass me by while I doze.
