kids

Does anyone know much about kids WN? I know I had it as a child, but no one seemed to notice it. How come none of my teachers reported the fact that I slept in their class practically everyday to my parents? I have a 9 yr old son with some pretty extreme behaviors, some of which I can relate to. I have heard him talk about getting rowdy to "get the tired out". He has had so much trouble in school it is not even funny. I mentioned the narcolepsy thing to his neurologist, who totally dismissed the idea. I just wonder what is out there for kids. I know this thing can be hereditary, what harm is there in doing a sleep study on a child who obviously has some serious stuff going on? They don't really know what it is...ADD, ADHD, Tourette's, OCD, what next? He dosen't respond well to the typical meds for any of the diagnoses. I don't want his life to be as complicated as mine has been, although we are already firmly set on that path it seems. God has brought us thus far, and I know He will continue to keep us, with prayer and faith.
