From what I've read, N usually has its onsets more towards adolecense (sp?). However, that doesn't dismiss the fact that it is possible for younger kids to have N.

It could possibly be ADD/ADHD like you said (but that needs an evaluation done), or it could be another sleep disorder that makes him tired during the day.....
