prozac & provigil (magnesium)

Posted by dazedgal on February 10, 2002 at 07:47:48:

On 60 mg. of prozac per day. Marginally helped. Tried provigil and had two up - up days, no sleep but terrible headache. Tried several times to take it but each time had to stop because it didn't bring me back and made me one big headache that couldn't stay awake or think. Start ritalin tomorrow. Any tales of headaches with the drug combo? Did anyone stop prozac and be able to then take provigil? I am almost at the point of not being able to take care of myself and like you feeling desperate and willing to try the vat of pig poop if someone says it helped. I'm the healthiest sick person you know. I don't feel depressed just too tired to think or do. The prozac made it possible for me to pay my bills. Before I just sat and looked at them. knew what they and the check book were but couldn't pick up the pen and put it all together. I now have short periods of time where I have enough "with it" to get them paid. It's not much improvement but better than none. I couldn't have written these 2 posts befor the prozac so am reluctant to start tapering off until I can find something else that will at least allow me to function at the same level. Added Welbutrin but it made my hand shake. Magnesium deficiency seems to fit most of my symptoms. Ate chocolate like crazy and it gave me 2 wonderful days and then quit being effective. Tried an over the counter mag. supplement but instead of the warned of runs my bowels ceased to function. Had to stop taking it. Aint it great to be different! Any tales about magnesium?
