Afew questions from a newbie.......

Posted by Raindrop on April 18, 2002 at 21:04:09:

Hello all,
I might have narcolepsy & cataplexy, results due july,
Im trying to check it out while i wait...& wait,
Very slow here in the uk!.
Any how i was wandering what are these snack attacks people with narcolepsy are prone too?

2nd Q, As a teenager i used to suffer from something strange...
I would wake up in the night feeling scared, would run into my mums room screaming and crying saying "its happening again, help me ,help me",
It was as though time was running half speed..all i was saying came out slowed down, this happened over and over again,
I remember it so i must have been awake not dreaming?
It used to scare me half to death! can anyone relate to this?

By the way i do have other narc type things, always want to sleep, cant keep eyes open if i lay down to watch the tv after 8.pm, find it hard to wake up in the mornings, and suffer from cataplexy?
Total sudden drops to the floor, sometimes knee weakness,(looks like a drunken stagger.)

So what do you think? do i fit a narcoleptic profile??
Any help advice would be great many thanks
