What are sleep patterns of N at night?

Posted by Lilli on April 30, 2002 at 07:42:21:

Do narcoleptics get less of a particular phase of sleep and more of another?

I seem to read much about medications used during the day to kept from falling asleep. But are there meds given to help a narcoleptic or someone with EDS have more efficient sleep at night? For example, if someone goes from Stage 1 and 2 to REM, is there a medication that will restore all sleep stages and put the cycle back into more of a norm?

Do sleep tapes (brain wave entrainment) work for anyone? Do sleep aids like klonopin or sonata provide deeper sleep?

Thanks for any feedback.
