I don`t think that has been any research to state that narcoleptics don`t get enough quality sleep during the night.
I only had one PSG, but on that one I had quite normal sleep stages. Maybe a little longer REM-lapses then whats common and no stage 1, but the spes said stage 1 wasn`t important.
I have heard that if you skip stage 3 and 4 you will have fibromyalgia, but I don`t think that`s connected to narcoelspy even though some people have bouth.
