Witsend,

I'm also a professional woman who has always had tons of energy and I've been in the helping professions, as well. I've been struggling with N for the last 6 years (since age 41). It has progressed, but recently seems to have leveled off. Provigil helps, but I still have to take anywhere from 3-6 naps a day.

I understand your frustration. I wonder the same thing. I try to just focus on taking things a day a time and being really happy during those times when I actually have energy. New advancements are coming along all the time. I don't see this as a life sentence, just a temporary challenge (a #$@!@!**%@ long one!)

I have my moments of anger over this, too. I think it's perfectly normal to feel that way.
