Jayde--

Sorry to hear about your fathers passing away. Please accept my condolences to you in light of this tragic event.

Though it sounds somewhat awkward, I've (unfortunately) been in a similar situation to the one you are currently in.

When my freshman roomate suddenly and unexpectedly passed away last year (may his memory be a blessing), I was beyond distraught. Not only had I suddenly lost one my new found best friend, but his passing was so unexpected...I won't go on with the details, but this tragedy happened, right as I was at the beginning of my (lengthy) N diagnosis. N was giving me problems, plus this......sigh....

Somewhere I have a copy of my roomate's college admissions essay--which talks about how he grew up suffering from a disability (he had a heart problem as a baby, which continued to early childhood). The essay then goes on to describe how even though he couldn't do everything the other kids did, he made the most of what he could....and I think his message is what rings important for all of us with N.

To change topics, about your (ex-) boyfriend...none of it is your fault. In honesty, I've also found it somewhat difficult socially as well. It's as if there is a stigma about having N. It's harder to find a girl (or girls) to date because of it, and well, is there anyone else outhere with suggestions?

As for your C problem--this may sound somewhat silly, but you say that you have C problems after sex? Although that's one area that I have no knowledge/experience in/of....I've been told by some friends that after sex some of them also feel totally drained (their descriptions sounded like slight cataplexy)....perhaps it isn't C in that case? And as for what happened at the hospital, I think that your (physical) reaction to what happened, is "normal", in that I think most peopole suffer from weakness upon hearing bad news and such. I may be wrong...but it may also be C...

Well, I think I'm gonna go nap now, seeming that I was up till 4:30AM doing homework and studying for exams (groan).....

But I'll leave you with this quote from late roomate:
"Nothing should be prized more highly than the value of each day- So live life to the fullest; it is your greatest gift"
