I saw something on TV similar to this article that you have read about the Provigil. They have or are going to do studies on how the Provigil works on those who just lack the "time" to sleep like doctors, pilots, military personnell etc. I didn't think this was a good idea - but that is just because I have a biased opinion of Provigil. I hate it. When I was on it, it made me "dazed and confused". It was awful to live like that. I was always up at night mindless surfing the internet and trying to do homework or otherwise was absolutely useless (at anytime of the day). A doc at Stanford said that she only had one other patient complain of this effect - he said it made him "stupid". From what I can tell though, most others have done well :)
