pregnancy, labour and sleep paralysis

Posted by cameron on May 05, 2002 at 15:49:18:

Hello,
I am 7 months pregnant and I quit taking modafinil before I became pregnant. So far so good, I'm fortunate that I don't have to work during this time so the narcolepsy doesn't interfere as much as it could. I get to sleep and eat whenever I want.

I'm hoping to hear from other people who have been or are pregnant and if narcolepsy affected them during labour. Any other thoughts on pregancy and narcolepsy would be appreciated.

Did anyone else experience a decrease in sleep paralysis during pregnancy? I was expecting it to be a real problem during the pregnancy because the dreaming has really increased for me. I don't think I have had any sleep paralysis since the 3rd month. I was wondering if the increased levels of whatever makes your ligaments and muscles loosen up prevents sleep paralysis. Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Cameron
