Hi Cameron,
I had my last child 9 years ago this Memorial Day, and I had no problems at all with my labor. They gave me half a dose of Nubain for pain, and it felt like I had slugged down a couple of shots of whiskey! ;o)
During my pregnancies, I had some of the wildest dreams that I have ever experienced, but "normal" friends of mine had the same vivid dream experiences, so I think that is hormones! I didn't have any sleep paralysis at all during the pregnancies, and it took almost a year before the sleep paralysis returned! (Of course I didn't get to sleep much, during the first year!!)
My labors were a breeze, the nurse said because I was so relaxed about it. That is one plus of having narco!
Good luck to you and your baby, I just love newborns! With you having narcolepsy and not being medicated, you will probably breeze right through it!
