I assume from your posting that you are in the Air Force? I'm an AF civilian. Try the Department of Labor Job Accomodation Network, they have some specific info about sleep disorder accomodations and also have counselors available to help you deal with work issues. You should also be able to go to MPF or to the JAG office to fill out paperwork requesting an accomodation (that info is also on the website mentioned above). Your accomodation could be as simple as being given a flexible schedule and starting time. Depending upon your job, you could be determined not fit for duty, so before you start telling your commander stuff, do some homework first. I can help you if you give me a little more info on your rank, what your job is, how long you've been in, how long your commander will be on this tour, etc.
