Hey~
Well, my Narcolepsy first began rearing its ugly head when I was a Junior in high school...and that semester was a total downward spiral for me.
I'm now finishing my sophmore year at college (only 1 more exam!), and I can tell you first hand, that having Narcolepsy is a big challenge when it comes to school(s).
There are a few major problems with schools...the first of which is that most teachers/administrators have no clue about what narcolepsy is--and as such, they don't seem to really pay any attention to it, which is sad. Also, some administrators may think that your just using N as an excuse for tardiness/truancy (because unfortunately, there are people who fake disorders and such...).
One suggestiont that I have is to make an effort to educate your administrators/teachers about your condition. Use info from this site (and from other good N sites) and present it to the people and hopefully they'll get a better understanding.
