Posted by Barry on August 04, 2002 at 07:33:52:

The uncontrollable sleepy feeling in narcoleptic patients are different from fatigue cause by non-enough sleep in normal people. The former is very strong when attacking the patients. The narcoleptic patients can feel refreshed after nap caused by sleep attack. What neurotransmitter or other substance in the patients' brain change their levels when sleep attacks occur suddenly, and wake up from those nap?Focusing on this field is more interesting and important in narcolepsy research.
