Employment Choices

Posted by 2sleepy_gal on August 04, 2002 at 08:57:19:

Hi Everyone!
I am a recently diagnosed N, and have been reading the posts on this board and others. Reading about everyone's experiences with their meds, jobs, family, etc., has really been a big help with me accepting the limitations (and benefits) involved with N. I would appreciate everyone's input regarding career choices. I am at a crossroad in deciding my financial future. What jobs/careers have you found to be most suitable? Have you discovered any resources in helping you to find some sort of direction in making career changes (i.e. vocational rehab, etc.)? I have worked in the Health Insurance industry for 13 years, but this no longer seems to be "do-able" at this point. So, I'm looking for an alternative that would be more suited to my needs. Anything you would like to share would be truly appreciated. I know my answers are out there, it's just a matter of exploring all the options. I am even considering a "home based business", but would like to hear others stories before jumping into anything.
Thank you for your help! Take care! :)
