A?IA - I went to the doctor :o)

Posted by Sleepy T on August 05, 2002 at 16:10:45:

I took your advise and got into my Dr today. But he is very puzzled with my comments. He took some blood and wants me to back down on my provigil to one pill a day and call him on Friday. He seems to want to look into what other illinesses could cause this. (he said maybe a brain scan if the blood work comes out ok). I'm questioning how much experience he has with Ns and/or Provigil. I do not have nor have I ever had anything else wrong with me and I really think it is a N or drug thing. (But then I thought I was sleepy becuase my throid was burned out and I was wrong). Anyway, does anyone think cutting back on the provigil is going to help me?
I forgot it one Saturday a while back and I slept the whole day. Well, I do trust my doctor, I just hope he has experience with this stuff. My GP sent me to him and more than trust him... Anyway, it is hard when the doctor's look at you so puzzled. The frist sleep doctor I went to said I was a head scratcher and wanted to peg me with Klein-Levins (sp?) and put me on lithoem (sp?). OK - I'm just trying to connect with someone that could understand.
Does anyone know any good Sleep Dr's in Louisville KY area?

THANKS! Sleepy T
