right there with ya! everyone wants to blame some other problem, weight, stress, etc., but what it really is, they just don't understand N. I myself didn't even fully understand it until months after my official diagnosis, when I became utterly consumed and obsessed with figuring out what N was. Try printing out some info you find on the internet and giving it to family members. Maybe if they read something that may help them understand it better. If they don't want to try to understand, just concentrate on the things you can do something about - such as talking to your doctor about changing your medication, change your schedule at work. It's a rough road sometimes, but the medications have been the best for me - it can take awhile to find the right combination of medications that work for you. My doctor lets me help in deciding when to alter the meds, etc., depending on how sleepy I am, how they are affecting me, etc. (I don't do that on my own). At least you caught it early and have a chance for treatment, I didn't catch my N until 41 and so I feel I wasted many years that could have been better with treatment. Hang in there!
