Perhaps also try contacting a professional who has some training (occupational therapist?). they may be able to give you some advice and help assessing job/environment needs in light of the narcolepsy. Quite often, WHAT you do can be performed across a large spectrum. From what I've read, the key is to accommodate your symptoms; schedules (no swing shifts, no excessive overtime required), environment (too much fluorenscent lighting, stress, can make things worse), etc become more important.
Maybe Human Resources?
