The xyrem trials, now that's something to think about.

I'm not afraid of any drug. Already I am on Synthroid and Cytomel for Thyroid Disease and Prozac and Wellbutrin for depression. When I have anxiety attacks I take Trifluoperazine. Side effects are inevitable so I take Gravol for nausea and Tylenol 1 for headaches from hell. If I'm not sleepy by midnight I'll take Nytol, so afraid am I of being up half the night and sleeping most of the day as I did this past winter after I lost my job.

Am seeing N. doctor next week so will defintely ask about time release Ritalin and Xyrem trials. Thanks to all who responded. I know every PWN is different, but we're all in the same boat and must stick together. I look forward to the day when I am an old hand at narcolepsy and can offer advice to the newly diagnosed. But right now, I am a total newbie.

Wrongful dismissal settlement from my old company was not as much as I thought so had to apply for unemployment benefit today (Canada). Quite a downer. When we inquired about sickness benefit we were told you had to be seriously disabled (that is, not standing on own two feet in front of her as I was) and that people in the last stages of cancer had been rejected in their applications. Ugh.
