Hello, Emerging.

I don't have narcolepsy, but my husband does. I have observed behavior in him similar to what you describe, with no noticable relationship to changes in medication or scheduled naps or other conditions. One day he will really struggle to get through, and another day he will be really energized. As you say, "go figure!". Brings new meaning to "one day at a time", doesn't it?

(I think there are a lot of things going on any particular day that may not be easy to account for...biorythms, the phases of the moon(?), general health that day, the weather, your mood, how much exercise you've had, what you've eaten .... in addition to meds and scheduled naps and such. It's pretty hard to account for everything that could influence behavior.)
