Why do narcoleptic patients feel refreshed after nap if hypocretin in their brain has been damaged permanently by an autoimmune factor? Maybe there must be a different kind of substance(neurotransmitter)in brain except hypocretin changing its level to support the refreshed state after nap. Do you think so?
The causes for any symoptoms should be logical to consider. The symptoms of sleep attacks occuring and waking up refreshed from a nap are very important features, which may be good clues for narcolepsy research.
