I remember taking tests in my morning classes, and just expecting not to get through it. I drank coffee (I loathe coffee), and I drank Mountain Dew (hate that stuff too) nothing helped. I didn't know what the problem was at the time, I figured I was just a really sleepy person who didn't do mornings that well. I got pretty good at having the appearance of being awake (you know, proping my head up When I got sleepy in the afternoon classes I guess I thought I either needed more sleep at night, or I was too warm or I just couldn't pay attention well enough. I also had mono when I was a junior and that certainly didn't help. I never asked for any special arrangements, because I just thought I was lazy and who would ask for special treatment for that? I didn't tell my doctor about my excessive tiredness until after I was married. The whole way through college I just thought I was lazy and stupid. I wish I had known then that I had a real problem, I know I could have done better in a lot of my classes. It's good that you know what is happening to you and you know what you have to deal with.
