naps/refreshed

Posted by dazedgal on August 10, 2002 at 15:02:49:

Could some of you who say they feel refreshed after a short nap expound on that? I just woke up from an hour nap and feel just as tired as before. My brain is functioning at about 25 miles per hour instead of the max of 100 mph. My breathing is labored and would have to stop at least twice to do a flight of stairs. Every system of by mine/body is at a snail pace and won't let me push it any faster. i don't doubt that narc exists but suspect a lot of us get pushed under its domain because the md doesn't know what is wrong and this seems to satisfy us even though none of the methodologies or drugs do us any good. just started ritalin 20mg sa yesterday and am still in a daze and stupor. I wouldn't hire me to do any job because I am clearly less than half of a person and that person cannot be counted on for anything important. When I read how some of you can hold down important jobs with some small accomodations that does not fit me at all. Am determined to try and BE again so any insight would be helpful.
