Ummm...I am pretty sure that provigil has a half life of 15 hours, which means that it stays in your system for three days. The dose is not at an effective level, but it is still there and compounds with the next dose that you take. You know from experience that what your Dr says is not correct, but the the literature says nothing remotely close to Provigil lasting 5 hours. Also, once you go over 400 mg, there is a very shallow increase in sleepiness decreasing effect. If it doesnt work for you the way you want, don't let your Dr convince you that you love it.

Now let me climb down from the soap box...

I happen to be a fairly intelligent and strong willed person, but it took a whole lot of will power and persistance for me to get my doctor to understand that I just did not like my treatment.

The perfect solution may not be out there, but there may be a better one.
