Thanks for the reply. I think I made the best decision I ever had last week. I visited this doctor that my moms nerologist suggested. He is a Nerologist that deals with sleep patients. The man is amazing. He said that I was correct, provigil does not leave the body as fast as fast as the other doctor said. But he also said it greatly depends on if you have food or water in your stomach. You are supposed to take the meds on a completely empty stomach and wait 30 mins after taking the meds before eating. This way the Provigil will absorb quickly and have a more powerful effect in a lesser time frame. If you take it with food it will stay in the body much longer and be drawen out into your night and it will not have a high peak of preformance like it should.
Another thing, there is a new drug coming out very soon called Xyrem for those who have Narcolepsy and Cataplexy. I'm joining a study on the drug in order to get on it early. My new doctor says that with the symptoms I've decribed I'm perfect for the study and very, very likely to have positive results. This drug was specificly designed for those Narcoleptics that have cataplexy. This medicine is almost the exact opposite of Provigil. In stead of trying to keep you awake at during the day, it is designed to give you a good sleep at night. You take it (it's liquid) right before you go to bed and three to four hours into the night when you wake up. The only bad news is that it has a bad name. It is also known in general as the "date rape drug."
