I am glad that you have found a doctor that you are comfortable with! That is so important.

Do you like the provigil better when you take it on an empty stomach? I had a lot of trouble with provigil, but I always ate just before I took it. It really suppressed my appetite, and I lost 8 pounds the first month that I was taking it, so I began having a morning "chow-down" where I would try to eat as much calorie packed food as possible just before taking my Provigil. Since then I have moved to ritalin, but I wonder if this could have been exacerbating my problems with Provigil (?).

It is too bad that there is so much negative stigma associated with most of the medications associated with N. I was yelled at by the pharmacist in a New York State pharmacy the other day for trying to fill an Rx for ritalin, just after Jeb Bush's daughter was arrested for trying to fill false Rx's. I had an out of state Rx (i was in NY for the summer) and didn't realize that New York has a law that only NY docs can write Rx for schedule II meds to be filled in that state. All of the old people turned to glare disapprovingly, as if I was what was wrong with America today, as the pharmacist shouted me out of the store...and only for ritalin! Make sure (after the study) that you call the pharmacy ahead of time, because a lot of people will be caught off guard if you walk in and ask for "the date rape drug," especialy if they are not suppliers for the med.

Best of luck to you!
