Hi, I have been on provigil for 1 1/2 months now.
At first the medicine worked great, and I was alert and able to stay up until 11p.m. watching t.v. without falling asleep. However, after a few days on the medication I began to feel sleepy in the morning and also in the afternoon. I also have been spacey in the afternoon. My doctor has increased my dosage several times. I am now taking 3-200mg tablets of provigil in the morning and 1-200mg tablet at noon. However, I am still having difficulty staying awake(midmorning & in the afternoon), but I will admit I am much happier person on the provigil and do not feel irritable like I did on the ritalin. I am going to give the medication another 2 weeks, before I switch back to Ritalin SR.
