Janet --

Sleep deprivation is a pain in the ---. One of my favorite lunch pickmeups is a REAL Coke and a Hersheys bar with almonds. I feel so much better right away (doesn't last long.) However this has the same effect as reverse liposuction. I keep saying I'm going to go to weight watchers, it has worked in the past for me.

As for memory loss, sleep deprivation does affect your short term memory. There are times of the day when you could tell me I won the Lotto Jackpot, and I won't remember it. I schedule my day around my sleep & alertness patterns. A time management class may help your daughter, it helped me.

Good luck
Emma
