Rumor is that clinical trials are, in fact underway. Alertec is the Canadian brand name for the med, which likely you already know. In any event, hope we can keep each other posted regarding clinical research. It does appear that Modafinil will be or is classified as a type IV narcotic, with some potential for abuse, as it is a stimulant medication. Although, if I recall correctly Ritalin is a type II narcotic, suggesting more potential for abuse. Do check other sources in that regard, and for any info about disorders and treatment you get on the net, even from us.
