Deb,

Ritalin was ineffective for me so I wasn't on it very long, but I was on Cylert for 3+ yrs. and it was a HORRIBLE experience! I do not have a history of depression, but I became incredibly tense and irritable, with bad withdrawal depression as well on days where I would try to take a "drug holiday". Dexedrine was bad too, but I wasn't on it long. I did much better on Adderall moodwise, even though it is chemically very similar to Dexedrine. However, response to different stimulants is a very individualized and unpredictable matter. Just be prepared to go through a period of trial and error to find one that works for you.
