Sharon,

Sounds like you're already quite knowledgeable about this dieting business--hope I didn't offend you by sounding too preachy. You are to be congratulated for keeping that 25 pounds off, and it sounds like you're pretty realistic about how much you can expect to lose and maintain. I know preparing wt.loss food for lunch is a pain. I've been trying to stem the tide of menopausal wt. gain by eating more protein-rich foods and fewer carbs and have hit upon grilling a large piece of fish Sun. night which I take to the office refrigerator, divide up, and use as for sandwiches on whole wheat bun with lettuce and Dijon mustard (I freeze the fish after a couple days and thaw a piece each day). It is filling, relatively nonfattening, and also tastes good (a plus!). I don't eat meat but you could do this with poultry or lean meat as well. Also, I just read Deepak Chopra's book "Perfect Weight" in which he maintains that longer-duration low-intensity exercise is better for weight loss for overwt. people than is high-intensity shorter periods of exercise. He recommends something like yoga--you might want to check into this. Let me know how you're doing.

Linda P.
