Narcolepsy isnt just marked by short naps - before I started treatment I could nap for hours every day - it just depends on the individual. If your husband is very active his adrenalin may be helping to keep him awake - I only had problems when I was not active (sitting to watch TV for instance) - the snoring could be caused by apnea as well. Sleep paralysis is a big indicator of narcolepsy, as you know already. And as for not wanting to get up, join the crowd - I always have difficulty getting up. Good Luck!
