A suggestion - Im a 32 yr old narcoleptic on Provigil and with the exception of some mood swings I dont have too much problems with side effects now. Is he supposed to be switching back and forth between 200-400mg? It's very important to stay on steady dosage - Ive also found that it helps to take provigil before of after meals, not with them. Your husband should try to gauge how long the meds last before wearing off and regulate his wakeup time accordingly. I get about 16 hrs out of 400 mg, so I make sure I get up early enough to take it so it wears off when I go to bed. This has helped a LOT. Regulating sleep times even on off days and weekends helps you to adjust to the medication. Good luck
