I recently was subscribed in the patient assistance program for Provigil, also through NORD. Since then, I have decided not to take the provigil, but the people at NORD were very helpful and I would have received full coverage for it. It took about 3-4 weeks for my application to be processed, but it only took that length of time because they deceded to move to a new office the day that I sent in my application, and things were shuffling around.

A good site to look at is www.NeedyMeds.com which is a site that merely collects information about how to find and apply for patient assistant programs for most of the medications that they exist for. I originally found NORD through NeedyMeds by doing a medication search of Provigil, and there are hundreds of medications listed. (I know that we are not supposed to put links up, but these people don't sell anything, all information is free, and they merely supply the information of how to find the organizations that deal with patient assistance.)

Good luck to you!
