That is the same thing that happened to me the first time I took Provigil. The World Was My Oyster for 5 hours, then I crashed. The peaks and valleys will decrease over the next 2 days, though, because it takes 3 days for the drugs and metabolites to reach a steady state in your body. If I were you, I would start my analysis of the likeability of Provigil at day 4, because that is the first day that you will totally feel the effects of the med the way it is meant to be.
...and I mean all of that aside from whatever my personal feelings about Provigil are. However, I have never heard anyone else Provigil made them 'high' the first time they took it. Did anyone else feel a drastic altering of their mood for the better at the first dose? (Cephalon says it doesn't do that...)
