I am 27 and was diagnosed a year ago. I have had N symptoms since age 12, and Cataplexy since age 15. I smoked recreationally from 14-17. I really don't think there is a link there. I did use dip (snuff) from age 16-24, and boy, did it help me get through college. I still have Cataplexy to deal with, but Provigil has solved the sleepiness. I am a BIG fan of Provigil.
